Happy Halloween. Well almost. I Looooooooove this card. I really wanted to put a few more different Tildas, Bunny Tilda, Princess Tilda, Robin Hood Edwin, Sailor Edwin, Witch Tilda but just these 3 and the 4 pumpkins took me about 3-4 hours to color this image and get the masking right, another 1-2 hours figuring out the rest of the card. I couldn't make up my mind on how I wanted it. But it finally came together. I really like it too.

Posted by Stampin Mindy at 12:00 AM 5 comments
Happy August 1st! I cannot believe how fast this year is going by. My kids still have another 5 weeks of Summer vacation! everytime they start their arguing I ask them, "Is it September yet!" They look at me like I'm crazy.. I dont think they fully understand what I mean lol!

Since it's the first of the month you all know what that means! Time for another Magnolia-licious Monthly Challenge, over at the Magnolia-licious Highlights blog! It's my turn to host the challenge and I chose to make a T-Slider Card. There's a T-Slider Card Tutorial over at SCS. It's a little intimadting to try, but I had fun to make and it's fun to challenge yourself sometimes. I think the Longing Tilda goes perfect in the center of my card. I used my stampin' up inks and distress inks to watercolor. I hope you can join the T-slider card challenge! I cannot wait to see the entries!

The first of the month also means a challenge over at the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog! The challenge until August 15th is Black and White. It's a record for me in the last month, I don't think I've ever used so much black! I'm loving the cards though! So I hope you can join us over at RRR too! You can win a $10 gift certificate! There's such a great selection at the RRR Store too!

Just Magnolia goes Vintage and WOC Tutorial!

Posted by Stampin Mindy at 12:00 AM 8 comments
Hello Ladies, Happy Friday! Here’s my Just Magnolia Card. This weeks theme is Vintage. I hope my card can pass for being Vintage, it looks old fashion .. to me lol.
I also have a Wild Orchid Crafts tutorial for you, I wanted to show you all how I make my flower clusters. Sometimes it’s a little easier to do the cluster this way, that way individual flowers cannot fall off your card and get lost. I’ve had that happen many, many times! lol!!
I also want to share that I have been invited to join the Magnolia Sweden Design Team! I'm really excited. I cannot wait to see my creations in the Magnolia Ink Magazine! I would love it if you would check out My Magnolia Blog, and become a follower!
I hope you find my tutorial helpful. Have a lovely day!

Gather your Wild Orchid Craft Flowers and lay them in the places you want them to be, with all of the stems going the same way.
IMG_6252
Twist them all together, one at a time. Here I added another flower, you cant have enough of them!
IMG_6253
Here’s the back.
IMG_6246
Here’s a smaller cluster I made for the same card.
IMG_6256
I tucked the stems behind the image and taped them down.

Here’s the back.

Here’s the card. You may have to add a little piece of double sided tape to the large flowers just to keep it a little sturdier.
Here’s some more photos..
